The Serenje District Council has invited successful applicants of farm land at the Nansanga Farm Block to come and be shown their respective farms. The exercise is expected to run from 19th March, 2012 to 22nd April 2012 during which time 306 plots will be given to small scale and emergent farmers. The development is expected
to expedite agriculture development in the area. Nansanga farm block sits on a 110,000 hectare land located in the District. It involves a Core Venture on a 10,000 hectare farm, which will be the centre for industrial development of the area and expected to provide the marketing thrust by purchasing the major products in the farm block from out-growers and adding value for local and export markets.
