The farming and business communities in Monze district have teamed up to form the Monze crime prevention committee following increased criminal activity in the district. The committee comprises members of the Monze Pemba district farmers' association and the Monze district business association,
guided by the office of the officer in charge at Monze police. The Beef representative Mr. Perry Cornhill and the poultry Representative Mr. Vincent Mukanjo will be sitting on the MCP committee representing the ZNFU. A hot line has been dedicated by Monze Police for any inquiries - 0213-250220 and the general public is being urged to utilize this facility to help curb crime in the district.
This move by Monze residents further comes in the wake of the many successes that the Mazabuka Crime prevention committee has scored.
