Mr. Kwalela Lamaswala, a commercial farmer of Kabwe and a member of the ZNFU, one of the four names submitted to the Minister of Energy for consideration on ZESCO Board was early last week elected and appointed Chairman of the ZESCO Board.
Following his appointment, the New Chairman paid a courtesy call at the ZNFU Head office and pledged to represent the interest of all ZNFU members pertaining ZESCO matters. Mr. Lamaswala before taking up farming served in many positions both in Government and private sector. He at one time served as the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Zambia.
