The European Union Head of Delegation, Dr. Derrick Fee and our ZNFU President, Mr. Jervis Zimba, on the 29th of January, 2010, launched a Euro2.4 million (ZMK15 billion) project dubbed as “IMPROVING PRODUCTIVITY OF THE SMALL-SCALE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN ZAMBIA”.
The project is meant to improve food security, input access, and enhance sustainable agricultural marketing arrangements for our farmers particularly the small scale farmers. The project will achieve the above expected results by improving private sector service provision to small scale farmers in areas of input supply, marketing and financial services. The project will work to enhance the Union’s capacity to sustainably facilitate agribusiness services provision needed for improved smallholder productivity and commercialization.
